Yep, I used a filter on this photo (it’s cloudy outside), but these pretty little babies really are this pink. Dragon fruits are an excellent source of calcium, magnesium, iron, B vitamins, and anti-oxidants. The flavor is mild and lightly sweet, and there is something invigorating about eating brightly colored foods. It lifts my mood.
Dragon Fruit Smoothie
1 frozen banana
1 frozen dragon fruit smoothie pack
1 chopped pear
1 tsp maca powder
2 Tbsp grassfed hydrolyzed collagen powder
2 cups ice
1 cup water
Break the frozen banana into pieces and place them in a high-speed blender. Use scissors to open the dragon fruit, and squeeze the frozen smoothie pack into the blender with the bananas. Add the rest of the ingredients. Blend until smooth.
